Thanks to ALL who came out, helped out, and REPRESENTED the BEST freakin’ musical/artistic community in the entire country. YOU ALL are what makes this event a success: YOUR love, YOUR support, YOUR dollars, YOUR contributions, YOUR sweat, YOUR labor, YOUR help, YOUR love! Wow! It humbles us. We REALLY feel the love. THANK YOU. That is what makes it all worth while. This is an event “of and for” the community, and we share the positron vibes w/ you. Until next year: peace-n-love.
We we move away from our computers and hit the majestic hill on which Maplewoodstock takes place, we will be doing limited-to-no updating on this website. Instead, follow our hour-by-hour updates on Twitter.
You don’t even have to be a Twitter user. Just point your web browser at twitter.com/maplewoodstock.
We are pleased to announced that we are once again offering a Beer Garden this year (after our successful 2012 experiment). Local Roselle Park-based Climax Brewery is providing the suds and Rent Party is volunteering as bartenders.
Bring an ID, drink responsibly, and support local businesses and charitable organizations. :-)
Our 2013 t-shirt design contest winners are both locals.
Design for adult t-shirt:
Mike Choi runs Open Mind Design with his wife Kathleen Hong out of their home in Maplewood. They specialize in full identity programs (logos, stationery, ads, brochures, websites) for small business startups.
Mike’s design acknowledges the 10th anniversary of Maplewoodstock (year X) and nods in the direction of 60′s pop art and other popular music festivals.
He is also the lead singer of theproject, and recently joined Mood Ring, who will be performing at Maplewoodstock this year. He loves Maplewoodstock because it allows his kids, Scarlett and Marilyn, fantastic exposure to music, art, creativity, community and general mind expansion that they could not so easily access if they didn’t live right here in the great and wonderful town of Maplewood.
Design for kid’s t-shirt:
Andrew Mazurek and Marc Miller from Grandstand Design collaborated on this design. Grandstand Design is a local design firm whose clients include the New York Yankees, Barnard College and The Comfy Canine, among others. They are accomplished creators of web sites, packaging, publications, Brand ID and more. Grandstand can be reached at www.grandstanddesign.com.
Not only can you come out to our street-side tables over the coming weekends, but you can now order Maplewoodstock t-shirts online. Go to http://www.maplewoodonline.com/maplewoodstock/
