Design for adult t-shirt:

2013-t-shirt-adult-300x118Mike Choi runs Open Mind Design with his wife Kathleen Hong out of their home in Maplewood. They specialize in full identity programs (logos, stationery, ads, brochures, websites) for small business startups.

Mike’s design acknowledges the 10th anniversary of Maplewoodstock (year X) and nods in the direction of 60′s pop art and other popular music festivals.

He is also the lead singer of the[]project, and recently joined Mood Ring, who will be performing at Maplewoodstock this year. He loves Maplewoodstock because it allows his kids, Scarlett and Marilyn, fantastic exposure to music, art, creativity, community and general mind expansion that they could not so easily access if they didn’t live right here in the great and wonderful town of Maplewood.

Design for kid’s t-shirt:

2013-t-shirt-kids-300x288Andrew Mazurek and Marc Miller from Grandstand Design collaborated on this design. Grandstand Design is a local design firm whose clients include the New York Yankees, Barnard College and The Comfy Canine, among others. As always, we will be trying to curate the best lineup of free music of and for the community. We reserve 3-4 slots for regional or national acts, and the other 18-19 slots are for a calibrated mix of new sounds and old faves, with an emphasis on acts from our local/community.
